Heydar Aliyev International Airport experienced a significant increase in passenger traffic in the first 8 months of 2024.
From January to August, more than 5.038 million passengers were served, which is 33.2% more than in the same period in 2023. In the first 8 months of last year, the number of passengers served was 3.781 million.
August 2024 became the busiest month in the airport's history. This month, passenger traffic exceeded 827 thousand people, which is 23% more than the same period last year. On average, about 26.7 thousand passengers were served daily in August.
It should be noted that this growth was the result of expanding the infrastructure of Baku Airport and offering passengers more flights and destinations. Heydar Aliyev International Airport, being the main air hub of the region, continues to provide a high level of service and comfort for passengers.
